Commodity control list

Gaseous fuel, including GH2, is a costly commodity that is being consumed with much more care and efficiency than in the past. For closed-loop control applications, the fast calorimeters (speed of response of less than a minute) are recommended, as shown in Table 3.11. The table also lists calorimeters that are specifically designed for custody transfer applications and offer improved accuracy (at the expense of response time). 

Annex I is necessary for the full implementation of controls under EC Regulation 396/2005, but the new commodity list will not be employed until the EC Regulation comes into force. 

The first eight listed solvents (green colored bad oimd) should be expected to perform similarly to a conventional vapor degreasing solvent — n-propyl bromide. Each is also prized as being priced as a commodity chemical. And the first four listed are charaaetized as being relatively non-hazardous because compliance with their exposure limits should be easily attained by emission and ventilation control. 

Universal price subsides and untargeted sales of subsidized commodities are general measures aimed at controlling the prices of food and other essential commodities. For a list of general price subsidy programs, see table B.3 in appendix B.
