Command Window simple commands

These files are simple text files and may be created in a variety of ways. One way is via die normal Notepad text editor. Simply type in a series of statements, and store diem as a file with extension. m. There are five ways in which diis file can be ran from die Matlab command window. 

A simple input comprises the three keywords TITLE, SOLUTION and END. However, just using the keyword SOLUTION is sufficient. END is not necessarily to be used for simple tasks, but for separation of multistage tasks. TITLE is exclusively used for documentation of the particular task. These keywords can be inserted to the left windows from the list on the right hand side by double-clicking on the respective commands. The structure of an input file will be explained by means of the example of the following seawater analysis. The order of the details in example SOLUTION 1 seawater analysis corresponds to a certain logic. However, it does not matter in which order the details are entered in the input file. They only have to appear under the keyword SOLUTION. 

Using the Windows Explorer is actually pretty simple. Just a few basic instructions will be all you will need to start working with it. First off, the Explorer interface itself has a number of parts, each of which serves a specific purpose. The top area of the Explorer is dominated by a set of menus and toolbars that allow easy access to common commands. The main section of the window is divided into two panes. When you start Windows, your monitor will show a screen (the desktop) which typically displays, on its left side, a number of pictures (icons), each with its own explanatory label. The bottom icon is labeled Start , and acts as the on switch of Windows. (There is no simple ojf switch, since Windows requires a more elaborate turn-off routine, which rather illogically begins with the Start button, and via the Shut Down command leads you to the Shut Down Windows dialog box, where you can choose between several options.)... 

Command markers are supported only for RealMedia (. rm) files and Windows Media (. wmv and. wma) files. Some commands are particular only to the Windows Media format and begin with a WM- prefix. Some commands only make sense for video presentations. The following table lists the commands, what they do, and what parameters are acceptable. Some of these commands interact with the Web browser and the HTML document that contains the media file. While the Command marker itself is fairly simple, the interactions can be quite sophisticated and may require some pretty serious scripting (JavaScript). 

The Mesh features enable the discretisation of the geometry model into small units of simple shapes, referred to as elements. In the Mesh page, from Sequence type list, there are two mesh techniques, which are Physics-controlled mesh and User-controlled mesh, respectively. In this FEM case, we choose Physics-controlled mesh for simplicity. From Element size list. Coarser size is selected. Click Build All (1.) button in the left upper comer of Mesh page. Now we have a discretised (meshed) model shown in Figure 7.13. In the Messages window, readers can find all kinds of information regarding the current command. It displays the number of elements in the current mesh, which is 2463 in this case, see Figure 7.14.
