Arms in State Constitutions. UCLA School of Law. Available online. URL http //www.law.ucla.edu/faculty/volokh/2amteach/sources.htm. Updated on July 7, 1999. Collection of texts, cases, and commentaries relating to the Second Amendment, including provisions in state constitutions and bills of rights. An interesting inclusion is state provisions that are grammatically similar to the Second Amendment in that they have an introductory clause, but that they also refer to such provisions as the freedoms of speech and expression. [Pg.202]

The author is grateful to Dr. T. E. Wood for commentary on the manuscript and to Pam Highstrom and Gail McCauley of the 3M Technical Library for their help in collecting the literature. Research in coordination chemistry in the 3M Central Research Laboratories has benefited greatly from collaboration with Prof. L. H. Pignolet and Dr. R. A. Newmark and from the support of Dr. E. Fatuzzo and Dr. H. G. Bryce. [Pg.402]

The essays collected in this volume address a variety of topics that are central to any articulation of a comprehensive philosophy of chemistry. In what follows we briefly discuss each of the key issues and link them to the specific contributions of our authors. In a short piece such as this introduction, we cannot do justice to the subtleties of each author s position, but we think our categorization and commentary offer useful connections between essays. Our goal is to alert the reader to themes and issues that we believe resonate in interesting and surprising ways between authors, rather than draw any substantive conclusions of our own. Still, we hope that some of our observations, interpretations, and attempts at categorization are contentious and spur further discussion. [Pg.6]
