Cold blowing

Avoid cold blowing effects through preheating of combustion air... 

Generally, after filtration and washing, most drying processes begin with a cold blow-through step to reduce the initial moisture content by liquid entrainment. Convection drying with hot gas adds thermal energy into the cake for evaporation and continues the mechanical liquid... 

My first approach was to "cold" blow the bottle to produce an oriented small neck container with a bottom. 

The results of this twin sheet cold blow molding test led the way to what later became known as "SOM", or the slug oriented molding process. We had a successful combination of "cold" extrusion and blov -forming. 

Low Temperature Brittleness. Brittleness temperature is the temperature at which polyethylene becomes sufficiently brittle to break when subjected to a sudden blow. Because some polyethylene end products are used under particularly cold climates, they must be made of a polymer that has good impact resistance at low temperatures namely, polymers with high viscosity, lower density, and narrow molecular weight distribution. ASTM D746 is used for this test.

The lamp will not start if it is too cold or too hot. The practice of blowing nitrogen over the lamp to remove ozone is not recommended as this cools the lamp and decreases its output significantly, resulting in an unnecessarily long irradiation period.

In small cold stores, the coolers will be fixed to the walls, probably blowing the air downwards, or to the ceiling, blowing sideways (see Figure 7.2). 

Since computer cahinets stand on the floor, the general solution is to hlow the cold air up from a false floor directly into the cahinets, with a lesser volume being hlown into the room to deal with other heat loads. The air-conditioning unit will now stand on the floor, taking warm air from the upper part of the room and blowing it down into the false floor (see Figure 28.10).
