Clinical development program courses

At each stage of the drug development program and for each trial within that stage, sponsors need to be aware of the implications of their choice of a and their choice of p and the acceptability of these implications. The implications of each choice and the acceptability of these implications may change throughout the course of a clinical development program. 

Over the course of 10 months, this synthesis generated 4.7 kilograms of varenicline (17% yield overall from benzonorbomadiene) from 50 kilograms of fluorobromobenzene 2 and 20 kilograms of dicyclopentadiene. This material fueled a fast-paced development program through the 6-month toxicological evaluation, salt selection, formulation and stability studies, and Phase 2 clinical trials. 

Certificate programs in clinical pharmaceutical research have only emerged more recently. These are usually offered as a 1-year or less training option. Many of these programs provide graduate academic courses in which the individual can develop the skills to conduct clinically oriented research. Typically, these programs are very focused on human clinical interventional or observational studies. Independent research skills are limited due to the short training period.
