Civil disobedience

Asserts that resistance to gun control is an aspect of civil disobedience that is often needed to preserve liberty against government encroachment. 

Techniques for molecular analysis often require multiple steps, including sample preparation, amplification, and analysis. As a result, successful automation is critical for their routine adoption in the clinical laboratory. However, to corruptly paraphrase Henry David Thoreau in Civil Disobedience— I heartily adhere to the motto The best automation is not needing to automate. The simplest techniques are often the best. As for immunoassays, methods that require separation and washing steps are being replaced with nonseparation methods that are rapid and homogeneous. These and other simple methods hold great promise for the clinical laboratory. 

Sasha thinks he has most of the material he needs the problem is in getting the time to sit down and write it. He had sworn off conferences to get more writing time then he was invited to deliver keynote addresses at two conferences, one on Drugs as Sacraments, the other on Drugs and Civil Disobedience. He is feeling sorely tempted by both, as he would be able to choose his own topics. (Personally, I wish I had the time and money to attend such conferences, never mind speaking at them.)... 

It s Not So Much What Happened A variant of the previous two themes is the type of opinion that attempts to put the behaviour in perspective by perceiving that the reports were exaggerated. It is not the behaviour itself which is disturbing but fantasies about what could have happened or what could still happen. Ominous visions are conjured up about what the behaviour might be leading to mass civil disobedience, Nazi youth movements, Nuremberg rallies and mob rule.
