Citrovorum factor conjugate

Citrovorum Factor Conjugate. The conjugate of CF does not seem to have been obtained pure, but only as a relatively concentrated product. Hill and Scott (274) succeeded in making this concentrate as follows. [Pg.35]

A suspension of 5 grams of brewers yeast in 100 ml. of distilled water was autoclaved at 110° for 30 minutes. After centrifugation, the supernatant liquid was the source of the CF conjugate. On incubation of the liquid for 12 hours with a preparation of conjugase from hog kidney, the Citrovorum factor activity increased threefold. [Pg.35]

The citrovorum factor (folinic acid) is assayed using Leuconostoc citrovorum 8081 ATCC (504). Folinic acid conjugate is determined by the same method as the free acid, except for a preliminary treatment with conjugase (274). [Pg.46]
