Cinnolinesulfonic acids

The term thiocinnoline includes any cinnoline bearing a sulfur-containing substituent that is joined directly or indirectly to the nucleus through its sulfur atom cinnolinethiones (tautomeric and nontautomeric), alkylthiocinnolines, alkyl-sulfinylcinnolines, alkylsulfonylcinnolines, cinnolinesulfonic acids (and derivatives), dicinnolinyl sulfides and disulfides, and the hke. So little information on thiocinnolines has emerged from the 1972-2004 literature that this chapter is necessarily brief. [Pg.79]

Note. The primary syntheses of a cinnolinesulfonic acid and of several sulfonamides and sulfonanihdes" have been covered in Section 1.2.1. [Pg.83]
