Yagi et al. have isolated a series of diterpenes from the water extract of Cinna-moni cortex Cinnamonum cassia Blume) (Lauraceae), which showed anticomplement activity however, no details on the complement-modulating properties of the pure compounds were reported [31]. [Pg.151]

The seeds of anise (Pimpinella anisum), fennel Foeniculum vulgare), caraway (Carun carvi) and coriander (Coriandrum sativum) characteristically contain chlorogenic acids at concentrations up to 3g/l (Clifford 1999).
