Church bells

Bronze (alloy of copper and tin) used for coins, medals, statues, church bells. 

During the time of the plague in the little village, the forlorn of the church bells was an almost daily sound. 

The invocation is taken up and repeated by all assembled God save the King (or Queen) While heralds proclaim it from the walls of the castle, messengers ride out to announce it to all the inhabitants of Logres and the church bells in the town of Camelot ring out a joyous peal. 

The trial was one of the greatest triumphs in medical history. Church bells rang across the country when the trial results were announced. Within five years, poUo was wiped out in the United States. 

No more was said about that meeting, though I thought about it often, especially when I heard the ringing of the church bell on a Sunday morning. When Shales came to the house—and Mrs. Gill told me that he did call from time to time—my father refused to see him. A series of strong earthquakes occurred near New Madrid, Missouri, in 1811 and 1812. They were so severe that they made church bells ring in Boston and caused the Mississippi River to flow in the opposite direction during the shaking.
