Chromodoris species

The importance of dietary compounds in the determination of the metabolic profile of Chromodoris species is illustrated by the presence of a rearranged diterpene- chromodorolide A [7 0] from the Indian Ocean s nudibranch Chromodoris cavae (60). A subsequent study of a second... [Pg.12]

Inorolides A and B are original sesterterpenes which were isolated from the Japanese species Chromodoris inor-nata with a third derivative, inorohde C, which has the carbon skeleton of cheilanthane. A further study of the same species by the same team yielded new examples of scalarane derivatives, and a hypothesis relating the carbon skeletons of sesterterpenes isolated from dictyoceratid sponges to those from nudibranchs has been proposed (Figure 23.23) (Miyamoto et al., 1992, 1999). [Pg.1987]
