Chlorpheniramine maleate, methscopolamine nitrate, and phenylephrine hydrochloride levels in capsules were determined using a cyanopropyl coliunn (/ - 262 nm) and a 70/30 acetonitrile/water (2% acetic acid with 5mM sodium heptanesulfonate to pH 2.6 with 0.1 N NaOH) mobile phase [1431). Elution was complete in 12 min and baseline resolution was achieved. Linearity from 2 to lOOOpg/mL and detection limits of 2-lOpg/mL (analyte dependent) were reported. 

Hydrocodone bitartrate is absolutely contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity reactions to hydrocodone. Also known as FD C yellow No. 5, tartrazine can cause asthmatic and other allergic reactions in some susceptible patients, especially those with aspirin sensitivities.
