Chlorocyclohexyl

Goering and coworkers201 studied the kinetics of base-promoted dehydrohalogenation of several series of cis- or frans-2-chlorocycloalkyl aryl sulfones. For the trans-2-chlorocyclohexyl series reacting with sodium hydroxide in 80% ethanol at 0 °C the p value was 1.42. The mechanism was considered to involve rate-determining carbanion formation, with the subsequent loss of chloride ion in a fast step. [Pg.528]

A range of reactions of 2-chlorocyclohexyl(dichloro)phosphine (60) with alcohols and epoxides has been described, largely with a view to the synthesis of polymer intermediates and flame-retardants.50 The copolymerization of dichloro(phenyl)-phosphine with styrene and vinyl butyl ether in the presence of maleic anhydride has been studied.61... [Pg.59]

Methyl, ethyl and propyl perchlorates, readily formed from the alcohol and anhydrous perchloric acid, are highly explosive oils, sensitive to shock, heat and friction [1], Many of the explosions which have occurred on contact of hydrox-ylic compounds with cone, perchloric acid or anhydrous metal perchlorates are attributable to the formation and decomposition of perchlorate esters [2,3,4], Safe procedures for preparation of solutions of 14 sec-alkyl perchlorates are described. Heated evaporation of solvent caused explosions in all cases [5], l-Chloro-2-propyl, iram-2-chlorocyclohexyl, l-chloro-2-propyl, 1,6-hexanediyl, hexyl, and 2-propyl perchlorates, prepared by a new method, are all explosive oils [6],... [Pg.47]

The temperature and frequency dependence of the complex dielectric permittivity a for both 2-chlorocydohexyi isobutyrate (CCHI) and poly(2-chlorocyclohexyl acrylate) (PCCHA) is reported. The analysis of the dielectric results in terms of the electric modulus suggests that whereas the conductive processes in CCHI are produced only by free charges, the conductivity observed in PCCHA involves both free charges and interfacial phenomena. The 4x4 RIS scheme presented which accounts for two rotational states about the CH-CO bonds of the side group reproduces the intramolecular correlation coefficient of the polymer. [Pg.390]

The evolution of the frequency of the maxima show a linear dependency with the inverse temperature according to the expectations as shown in Fig. 2.41. The activation energies calculated from the Arrhenius plot for each process are 68.2 0.6kJ mol-1 for p relaxation and48.0 0.3 kJ mol-1 for y relaxation. These values are very close to those found for structurally related to P4THPMA such a PCHM [29,30], PMCHMA [59], poly(2-chlorocyclohexyl methacrylate) [33] and PDMA [104] (70-82 and 41-50 kJ mor1 [38],... [Pg.101]

Addition of aryl tellurium trihalides to cyclohexene produces trails-] -aryldihalotelluro-2-halocyclohexanes when the reactions are carried out in chloroform, and trans-1-aryldihalotelluro-2-methoxycyclohexanes when methanol is used as the reaction medium. Treatment of the 2-chlorocyclohexyl 4-methoxyphenyl tellurium dichloride with terf.-butyl hydroperoxide in acetic acid yielded tram-l,2-dichlorocyclohexane and aryl chloride. Bis[4-methoxyphenyl] tellurium dichloride did not yield any aryl chloride under these conditions1. Pyrolysis of tran.s-2-methoxycydohexyl phenyl tellurium dibromidc afforded Crum- l-bromo-2-methoxycyclohexane1. [Pg.581]

The kinetics of the addition of 40 to cyclohexene175 in which N-(2-chlorocyclohexyl) saccharin is formed, besides 3-chlorocyclohexene were found to be first order in both reactants.180... [Pg.254]

Essentially all the reactions so far reported which result in the formation of a C—Tc bond at a stereogenic carbon center involve addition of tetravalent perhalotellurium compounds (see also Houben-Weyl Vol. E12b, p299ff) to alkenes. The earliest report which examined the stereochemical aspects of such additions found that addition of tellurium tetrachloride and aryltellurium trichloride to cyclohexene affords (1,S, 2,S )-2-chlorocyclohexyltellurium trichloride (1) and aryl(lS, 2S )-2-chlorocyclohexyl]tellurium dichloride 2, respectively85 86. [Pg.630]
