Chlorinated Polyether CPE

Chlorinated polyether is sold under the tradename of Penton. It has a maximum operating temperature of 225°F (107°C). CPE is resistant to most acids and bases, oxidizing agents, and common solvents. It has the advantage of being able to resist acids at elevated temperatures. It is not resistant to nitric acid above 10% concentration. CPE finds application as bearing retainers, tanks, tank linings, and in process equipment. [Pg.134]
