Characteristics of Ebullated-Bed Reactor

The capability of the daily addition of a small quantity of catalyst is a key feature of the EBR and results in constant product quality over time. The run length for the EBR system is therefore not a function of catalyst activity, as in a fixed-bed system, but depends on the good control of sediment formation, which is commonly limited at 0.8-1.0wt% (Kressmann et al., 1998 Ancheyta and Speight, 2007). [Pg.351]
