Ceratium fusus and Ceratium furca also have a low half saturation value of nitrate, similar to Skeletonema costatum and Chaetoceros spp. However, they did not have the same variation trend as Skeletonema costatum and Chaetoceros spp., and they became gradually an important part of the phytoplankton community in the Bohai Sea in recent 30 years.
