Ceramic pastes injection molding

A new plastic forming process has been developed, injection casting, in which clay ceramic pastes are injected into the mold and further compressed by closing the slightly opened tool. This process can also be used for manufacturing nonrotationally symmetric articles. [Pg.451]

Once the formulation and mixing stages are mastered, it is possible to effectively increase the volume of powder contained in the injection molding paste [WRI 90], In practice, the volume concentrations of particles are about 40 to 50%, even 60% in the case, for example, of the injection molding of technical ceramics. [Pg.176]
