Cell layout

It is then necessary to consider the electrode geometry to arrive at the number of cells needed, and also the cell layout to be used in order to match the available power supply in terms of current and voltage. The cell may be monopolar or bipolar, depending on the manner in which the electrodes are inserted into the circuit. This is carried out in two ways. [Pg.702]

The original placement framework of Capo only supports pure standard cell layout. However, today typical VLSI designs contain certain number of macros, such as embedded memory and IP blocks. In a flattened design flow, placement engine has to be able to place macros and standard cells simultaneously. Accordingly, we enhance Capo with the capability to handle mixed macro/standard cell layout. [Pg.134]

The robot cell layout was designed to minimize the total distance to be covered by the robot in order to assemble onto MID. In addition, the feeder system is movable. As a result, the components can be placed at an optimized position. With this feeder moving system, the placement rate can reach 1800 components/hr (with a stationary feeder the placement rate is up to 1200 components/hr). [Pg.436]

Looks like simple task management, doesn t it I have observed many area or work cell layout drawings where each section of the work area has someone s name listed. This implies that they are to take ownership of 5S for this section of the work area. Figure 4.1a illustrates this oft used, but ineffective, method. [Pg.30]

In a chlor-alkali plant, rectifier specifications are not set in isolation but are part of the larger question of circuit design. Rectifiers are matched with groups of cells or electrolyzers, and conversion efficiency often must be compromised in the interest of safety and an efficient cell layout. The following section discusses this further. [Pg.719]

Figure 8.21 illustrates a gate array in various levels of detail and possible interconnections within a cell. The floor plan of Fig. 8.21(a) shows that there are 10 columns of cells with 10 cells per column, for a total of 100 cells in the chip. The cell layout of Fig. 8.21(b) shows that there are 4 NMOS and 4 PMOS transistors per cell. Thus there are a total of 800 transistors in the chip. The transistor channels are under the polysiUcon and inside the diffusion areas. Figure 8.21(c) shows the cell layout with interconnection to form an NAND gate, whereas Fig. 8.21(d) shows the circuit equivalent of a cell. [Pg.729]
