CBRN chemical, biological individuals

Over the next 5-20 years, the US Army has interest in the development of several technologies involving individual soldier hydration. Near and long-term solutions to battlefield hydration problems include Water Carriage with Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) resistance capability, and water filtration and purification. 

The CBRN classification has now been universally but rather uncritically accepted and also the components of the classification are equally regarded as being weapons of mass destruction . The validity of this assumption is discussed later. Despite the apparent operational convenience of the NBC and CBRN classifications by the military and civil emergency services, and the use of the mass destmction concept for political leverage, grouping of trauma caused by the individual chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear weapons remains unsatisfactory from...
