Catalytic reactions involving oximes

Thus in this case the catalytic reaction involves the anionic -form o f the nitroalkaneI which in general undergoes reactions at the metal centre di-f-ferent than those observed with the nitro derivatives in their neutral -form (3.2.) However it is interesting to point out the similarity between the probable intermediate formed during the deoxygenation reactions o-f nitro compounds by carbon monoxide <3.2.1.), and the intermediate which should lead to the oxime in the copper-catalysed reactions ... [Pg.123]

ITQ-2 zeolite prepared by delamination of MCM-22 precursor, is formed by disordered individual sheets of crystalline zeolitic layers in where the Bronsted acid sites are of zeolitic nature and the vast majority of them aecessible to large molecules. The delaminated zeolite combines the acid characteristic of microporous zeolites with accessibility of the sites of mesoporous Al/MCM-41 and amorphous silica-alumina. The superior catalytic performance of delaminated zeolites compared to conventional zeolites and Al/MCM- 1 is examplified for reactions involving large reactant molecules, namely the preparation of dimethyl acetals, the Beckmann rearrangement of bulky cycloalkanone oximes and hydroxylation of aromatics. [Pg.235]

As was demonstrated earlier with Cp Rh catalysis [37], the above Cp Co catalytic system also proved effective for the condensation of an a,P-unsaturated oxime with an aldehyde to afford a furan derivative (Scheme 10.14) [35]. The reaction likely involves oxime-directed vinylic C-H metalation with the Cp Co catalyst and subsequent insertion of the aldehyde into the alkenylcobalt(III)... [Pg.327]

All the examples of the catalytic one-pot selenenylation-deselenenylation reactions reported above concern the use of oxygen nucleophiles. Also reported in Scheme 43 is the only available example in which a nitrogen nucleophile is involved in the addition step. Under the usual conditions, the oximes 271 react with phenylselenyl sulfate to afford the nitrones 272 which react with the persulfate to give pyridine AT-oxides 273 by deselenenylation and dehydrogenation [126]. [Pg.50]
