Case Studies for Applying the Network Pinch Retrofit Approach

Recent experience provides new insights and guidance on process revamp and areas that will often represent good opportunities for improved energy efficiency with attractive economics. Optimization efforts for existing facilities often focus on improved heat recovery. However, recent work has identified other areas that may provide significant opportunities, but are not commonly explored. Also, some innovative work has been completed to identify some new process changes that may be of interest. These aspects will be discussed in Chapter 11.
