Cascaded energy transfer

A transfer, in which several different dyes provide the chain of transfer events for achieving a very significant shift in emission wavelength, is called a cascade energy transfer [55], as depicted in Fig. 5.

The next stage in the cascade energy transfer from the external forcing over the horizontal scales is the formation of mesoscale eddies [35]. 

A more recent example by Balzani and Vbgtle provided an additional chro-mophore for cascade energy transfer [115].
