Typical applications for this process are bumpers or A-, B- and C-pillar covers [1, 3]. In connection with in-mold surface-decoration, cascade injection may improve the quality of the molded parts. Such moldings are not only damaged by high pressures but also there may be wrinkles at the locations of weld lines. Both problems can be avoided using cascade injection molding. But this process is not limited on decorated moldings. Often this process is also adopted to produce visible parts for the automotive industry (e.g. bumpers). [Pg.338]
