Given the variety of feedstock that the FCC unit processes, it is unlikely that a single set of kinetic parameters will provide accurate and industrially useful yield and property predictions. In addition, changes in catalyst may significantly alter the yield distribution. Therefore, it is necessary to calibrate the model to a base scenario.
