A series of 16 triprenyl- and tetraprenyldrromanes, sargachromanols A-P, have been isolated from the species Sargassum siliquastrum harvested in Korea (Jaq u Island). Most of these present interesting antioxidant properties, and the two examples shown below are also inhibitors of butylcholine esterase (Jang et al, 2005). Similar compounds were isolated from Sargassum thunbergii, also from Korea (Seo et al, 2006). [Pg.448]
