Building Block Design

DCC should be an efficient approach to the generation of sophisticated molecular and supramolecular systems-diversity and complexity are obtained not through complicated synthesis, but through different combinations and permutation of simple building blocks linked by reversible reactions.

The flexible use of twin-screw extmders is facditated by the building-block design. Cylindrical, feeder, kneading and mixing elements can be combined as needed. On the whole, extmder technology can be adapted by these means to the requirements of polymer modification. 

The paper is organizEd as follows. Section II covers the transponder system architecture compliant to the EPC Gen-2 standards and the functionality of building blocks. Design considerations and circuit implementations of critical building blocks are discussed too. Section ITT presents the simulation results, and the conclusion is given in Section IV.
