Care should be exercised with this procedure. Quaternary ammonium ion can be extracted from the montmorillonite with methanol (particularly the Cloisite lOA, which is exchanged past the CEC). The organic content needs to be checked by thermal analysis after this procedure. The recycled PET was a color-sorted grade from Polymer Institute Brno. Polypropylene. Isotactic polypropylene for all experiments was prepared in the Research Institute for Macromolecular Chemistry in Brno. Technical data MW = 510,000 (calculated from viscosity measurements in Tetralin), atactic fraction = 0.68%, stereoblocks = 6.75%, ash = 0.29%, Ti = 0.0172% (no compounds with Ti—Cl bonds), A1 = 0.11% free of stabilizers. The polymer was stored in an inert atmosphere in sealed ampoules at low temperature in the dark. 

For understanding the complicated function of nucleic acids, it is desirable to gain information about the electrochemical properties of these polymers or their components. The first study about the polarography of purine derivatives was published by Heath [77] in 1946. Most new ideas for the electrochemical study of this attractive problem [78-83] were presented by Elving, (University of Michigan, Ann Arbor) and Palecek (Institute of Biophysics, Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences, Brno).
