Operational use of MTV payloads always occurs under dynamic conditions. That is, payloads do not burn in still air but are projected at velocities varying from 60 to 80 kt (hovering helicopter) to 650 kt (fast jet in afterbum mode). The boot camp teams were encouraged to come up with more and more ideas against the number generated by their peers.
