Bluebell Nozzle Application

Several years ago. Seiner and Gilinsky [3] introduced nozzle geometry for noise suppression they termed a Bluebell nozzle. Such examples are shown in Fig. 4.8. These nozzles contain corrugations and trailing edge chevrons. The corrugations produce additional thrust due to an increase in lateral area, and combined with the chevrons they lead to noise suppression as shown in Fig. 4.9. [Pg.254]
