Aspirin is molecular compound, often referred to as an organic molecule because it contains the nonmetals carbon (C), hydrogen (H), and oxygen (O). Some potential side effects of aspirin may include heartburn, upset stomach, nausea, and an increased risk of a stomach ulcer.
