Pharmacists involved in compounding with biologically active proteins are interested in their stabilization, formulation, and delivery. In order to prepare a diverse-stimuli responsive chemiluminescent probe, the SNS system was derivatised with luminol, a very well-known luminescent compound with applications in analytical, biotechnological and forensic sciences. PSNS-luminol (10) is not fluorescent, but is chemiluminescent after reaction with H2O2 and cations like Cu, Fe, Cd and Pb.
