Biological Evaluation on Muscle Regeneration

By analogy with the results obtained with CMDBS (Carboxymethyl benzylamide sulfonate dextrans), it is interesting to know the effects of P4 terpolymer of malic acid derivatives in the regeneration model of EDL (Extensor digitorum longus ) rat muscle .  

Hence in vivo, terpolymer P4 could act by protecting the heparin binding growth factors involved in the natural process of muscle regeneration and therefore favour their actions. This family of polymers should offer a new pharmaceutical potential for treating muscle atrophy and destruction and is worth studying further.
