Betamethasone valerate foam

Betamethasone valerate USP is a synthetic corticosteroid for topical dermatologic use. The corticosteroids constitute a class of primarily synthetic steroids used topically as anti-inflammatory agents. Each gram of foam contains 1.2 mg betamethasone valerate USP in a hydroalcoholic, [Pg.118]

Put 400 g of the cream into stainless steel vessel and keep aside. [Pg.118]

Add slurry from step above to the remaining cream base in mixer. Rinse the container of slurry using 5.0 g of item 7 and transfer the rinsing to the mixer. [Pg.118]

Homogenize for 10 minutes at high speed, mixer speed 8 rpm. [Pg.118]

Load 400 g cream from step above to the mixer. Set the mixer speed 8 rpm, manual mode, vacuum 0.4-0.6 bar. Homogenizer at high speed with recirculation, temperature 25°C. [Pg.118]
