Beryllium acetylacetonate

Beryllium acetate, basic, 3 4, 7, 9 basic, structure of, 3 8 Beryllium acetylacetonate, 2 17... [Pg.226]

The beryllium acetylacetonate is separated in a gas chromatograph and injected into the helium plasma emission spectrometer. The detection limit is lOpg in a 30mL water sample and the standard deviation was 4.1% at lOng of beryllium. [Pg.362]

Beryllium chemistry includes its S-diketonate complexes formed from dimedone (9), acetylacetone and some other S-diketones such as a,a,a-trifluoroacetylacetone. However, unlike the monomeric chelate products from acetylacetone and its fluorinated derivative, the enolate species of dimedone (9) cannot form chelates and as the complex is polymeric, it cannot be distilled and is more labile to hydrolysis, as might be expected for an unstabilized alkoxide. However, dimedone has a gas phase deprotonation enthalpy of 1418 9 kJmoD while acetylacetone enol (the more stable tautomer) is somewhat less acidic with a deprotonation enthalpy of 1438 10 klmoD Accordingly, had beryllium acetylacetonate not been a chelate, this species would have been more, not less, susceptible to hydrolysis. There is a formal similarity (roughly 7r-isoelectronic structures) between cyclic S-diketonates and complexes of dimedone with benzene and poly acetylene (10). The difference between the enthalpies of formation of these hydrocarbons is ca... [Pg.190]

The interaction of beryllium acetylacetonate with bis(acetoacetyl) compounds leads to coordination polymers. With bis(acetoacetyl)phenyl ether in dimethylformamide the reaction was found to be reversible [214], viz. [Pg.574]

What do the differences in properties between lithium acetylacetonate (m.p. very high, insoluble in chloroform) and beryllium acetylacetonate (m.p. 108 , b.p. 270°, soluble in chloroform) suggest about their structures ... [Pg.38]

Since the melting point of lithium acetylacetonate is very high, and beryllium acetylacetonate relatively low,one expects the former to be ionic with the latter being nonionic. ... [Pg.19]

Beryllium Acetylacetonate, Bc(CbII70...)2.—I eryllinm acetyl acetonate is one of the most interesting of the salts of iH-ryllinni. It was first prepared by Combes (1894 6) by the action of... [Pg.40]

Directions are given for the preparation of the following beryllium acetylacetone (synthesis 5), aluminum"acetylace-tone (synthesis 9), bis[tris(2,4-pentanediono)titanium(IV)] hexachlorotitanate(IV) (synthesis 34), zirconium acetylacetone (synthesis 35), and thorium acetylacetone (synthesis 36). [Pg.15]

Beryllium acetylacetonate can be readily prepared in a pure condition because it is relatively insoluble in... [Pg.17]

Beryllium acetylacetonate, polymers with 4,4 -bis(acetoacetyl) diphenyl ether, 229... [Pg.367]
