Benzoylphenylureas acylureas

Benzoylphenylurea insecticides are all derivatives of urea (H2NCONH2). Several benzoylphenylureas have been developed and used to control a variety of insect pests. Currently, diflubenzuron is registered for control of lepidopterous insects, mosquitoes, boll weevils, flies, and so forth. Its oral LD50 in rats is 4640 mg/kg. [Pg.55]

Hexaflumuron is a larvicide for control of coleopterous, homopterous, and lepidopterous larvae on fruit, cotton, and potatoes. It is also effective against termites. It has an oral LD50 in rats of 5000 mg/kg. [Pg.55]

Flufenoxuron is used for control of mites and insects in a wide range of crops. Its oral LD50 in rats is 3000 mg/kg. [Pg.56]
