Bayer phosgene manufacture

With respect to the global production of polycarbonate, three companies (GE, Cartagena, Spain Bayer, Antwerp, Belgium and Asahi Kasei, Taiwan in 2002) use non-phosgene based manufacturing units, with a market share of 12% of the polycarbonate produced by this phosgene-free technology.
