2 Basic IPMC-PVDF Sensori-Actuator Structure 

This section is organized as follows. The construction of the IPMC-PVDF structure and the sensing circuit are presented in Section 8.2.1. Mechanical analysis is conducted to understand the stiffening effect introduced by the PVDF and insulating layers, as shown in Section 8.2.2. The compensation scheme for the feedthrough coupling effect is then discussed in Section 8.2.3.
