Balkan nephropathy prevalence

Patients with Balkan nephropathy do not suffer from edema, and their blood pressure is usually described as normal [18,88-90]. Recently, several studies reported a higher prevalence of hypertension even in offspring of Balkan nephropathy famihes [91, 92, 93].
