Automatic Occlusion Pressure Controller

Optional automatic occlusion pressure control, battery operated over 24 h... [Pg.133]

To augment the one-hand operated cinch-buckle tourniquet in order to create a pneumatically operated battlefield tourniquet, an automatic occlusion pressure controller (Gooch et al. 2004) that could be used with the manually operated tourniquet was designed and... [Pg.141]

The automatic occlusion pressure controller is built around a microrolling air pump (Oken Seiko Co.) which can produce minimum pressures in excess of 520 mmHg at 6 VDC, with a typical flow of 90 in. Vmin (1,500 cm3/min). The pump is mounted directly on the controller s printed circuit board (Fig. 5.45). [Pg.144]

The extrudable adhesives are supplied in the larger sized containers, 22-5 or 200 litres, which have been filled under controlled conditions to avoid the occlusion of air. The adhesive is distributed to the work locations from a centrally sited pump-house through a manifolded pipe network at moderate pressure. Care must be taken in the design of the pipework to ensure that there are no features which may lead to eventual partial or full blockages. A dual pumping system is normally used the adhesive is transferred from one container at a time and as the end is approached the system will automatically switch over to the other thereby providing a constant material supply. [Pg.103]
