Asymmetric Addition Reactions on Solid Supports

We could now show that the asymmetric 1,2-addition using dialkylzinc reagents and chiral N,0-ligands with a paracyclophane backbone is also applicable on solid supports [36], Therefore, we immobilized ortho-carboxybenzaldehyde 32 on Mer-rifield resin 31 under standard reaction conditions. 

Currently, we are using these strategies for the synthesis of natural products such as tetrahydrocannabinol (35) [37] and diversonol (36) (Fig. 2.3.1.9) [38, 39].
