Astragalin flavonol glycoside

By comparison with the large variety of flavone and flavonol glycosides (these latter are the most abundant in Astragalus spp.), the number of isoflavonoid glycosides is small. Kaempferol and quercetin occur more widely among flavonols, while astragalin, 190, and rutin, 236, are the most representative glycosides. Isoflavones, isoflavans and... 

One new and three known flavonol glycosides were obtained from the aerial parts of Phlomis spectabilis [84], The new glycoside was 3-0-[6 -(E)-p-coumaroyl]-p-D-glucopyranoside of kaempferol 7,4 -dimethyl ether (180). The others were tiliroside (181), kaempferol-7,4 -dimethyl ether 3-glucoside (182) and astragalin (127). 

Bilberry consists of the dried ripe Ifuit of Vaccinium myrtillus, a dwarf shrub of the Ericaceae family. Dried bilberries contain 1-5% catechins, approximately 30% invert sugar, and small amounts of flavonol glycosides (e.g., astragalin, quercitrin, isoquercitrin, hyperoside), phenolic acids (e.g., caffeic and chlorogenic acids), and anthocyanins, particularly glycosides ofmalvidin, cyanidin, and delphinidin [30].
