When the injured employee is fit to return to work, careful review of their limitations and injuries will need to be examined in relation to the tasks which can be performed. The tasks should be as productive for the employer as possible whilst providing job satisfaction for the employee. Considerations for the range of tasks will include  [Pg.502]

As the employee recovers from the injury, regular review will match the employee s increasing ability with an increase in task variety and, ideally, a return to pre-injury duties. Regular liaison with the treating doctor will help confirm the suitability of the alternate duties. [Pg.502]

Work-hardening programmes may act as a conditioning tool for employees who are not ready for the workplace yet, but who require intense pltysieal eonditioning before a return to work. [Pg.502]
