Ascension

Apparatus. The apparatus is made of Pyrex glass, in one piece. It consists of a shaped bulb A (Fig. 89 of about 30 ml. capacity in which the reaction takes place, provided with an inclined inlet B at the side and a vertical ascension tube D. B serves not only as an inlet for the admission of the carrier gas but also as the route by which the reagents and test sample are introduced into the apparatus. B ends in a small ground-glass joint into which fits ajoint carrying a capillary-tube which projects well down into the bulb A (the end of the capillary should be just above the liquid level when the apparatus is charged for the determination). The upper extension of this capillary beyond the joint is provided with a tap C to control the rate of flow of the carrier gas. 

The ascension tube D ca. i cm. in diameter ) rises for about 8 cm. above A, then narrows (5 mm. in diameter) to form a small condenser E (8 cm. long). The ascension tube then bends over in a flattened U-shape and descends into the gas-washer F (ca. 8 cm. long). The tube continues to the bottom of the washer, leaving a gap of only 1-2 mm. when F is closed by the insertion of the rubber bung M. The tube in this section is 2-3 mm. in diameter. Charging dust particles from coal charging should be evacuated by the use of jumper-pipe systems and steam injection into the ascension pipe or controlled by fabric filters... 

The instrument, which is placed at the telescope focal plane, consists of optics and a detector to measure the light. As depicted in Fig. 2, the instrument attempts to measure a three-dimensional data cube - intensity as a function of wavelength (A) and two spatial dimensions on the sky (right ascension and dechnation).

Such a program must be specific, realistic and not contradicting the idea of sustainability. It might be a program of cleaner industrial and agricultural production incorporating a systems principle of ascension from cleaner local units, mills, factories, and areas to a cleaner Ukraine to cleaner multinational regions.

Calmodulin Structure by X-Ray and NMR. Babu and co-workers published the first X-ray crystallographic structure of Ca " -saturated mammalian calmodulin in 1986 (PDB ascension number 3CLN). Two years later Gay-Lussac and J.-B. Biot made a daring balloon ascension to study the behavior of a magnetic needle and the chemical composition of the atmosphere at high altitudes. On another occasion, when Gay-Lussac alone had reached an elevation of 7016 meters and wished to ascend still higher, he threw overboard some small objects to lighten the balloon. A shepherdess in the field was astonished to see a white wooden chair fall from the sky into some bushes, and the peasants who heard her story were at a loss to explain why, if the chair had come direct from Heaven, the workmanship on it should be so crude (3).
