Arsenic complexes silicon ligands

The metalloid elements include boron, silicon, germanium, arsenic, antimony, tellurium, and astatine. Ligand exchange reactions complete much faster for silicon complexes when compared with carbon complexes because the silicon atom can form a hypervalent transition state that carbon cannot.
