Regenerative aqueous carbonate process

Regenerative Aqueous Carbonate Process for Utility and Industrial Sulfur Dioxide Removal... [Pg.171]

Hydrogen sulfide, H2S, is removed by a variety of processes, of which one is a regenerative solution process using aqueous solutions of sodium hydroxide, NaOH, calcium hydroxide, Ca(OH)2, sodium phosphate, Na PO, and sodium carbonate, Na2C02. [Pg.208]

Sodium hydroxide, m aqueous solution with sodium carbonate, is occasionally used to remove Ae last traces of carbon dioxide from hydrogen, or other gases, where Ae bulk of the carbon Aoxide has been removed by a more economical, but less efficient regenerative process. Caustic scrubbing is also used to remove CO2 from small volumes of air where CC>2-ffee air is required. [Pg.401]
