Applying Safety Standards to a Management Framework

After the occupational safety manager chooses a methodical framework to institute a comprehensive safety management program, the standards of safety that are required to make an organization safe can be applied. This is where safe-workplace laws 

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSH A) provides guidelines to reduce hazards to the workforce. OSHA was created within the U.S. Department of Labor to do the following  

Encourage employers and employees to reduce workplace hazards and to implement new or improved existing safety and health programs. 

Provide for research in occupational safety and health to develop innovative ways of dealing with occupational safety and health problems. 

Establish separate but dependent responsibilities and rights for employers and anployees for the achievanent of better safety and health conditions. Maintain a reporting and recordkeeping system to monitor job-related injuries and illnesses.
