Application of High Pressure in Transition Metal-Catalyzed Reactions 

One of the most challenging tasks in chemistry is to design efficient processes for synthetic transformations of organic molecules. Transition metal-catalyzed reactions play an especially important role from an economic and ecological point of view, which is reflected in the high research activity in this field. Besides finding new catalytic reactions that also fulfill the demand for atom economy [1], the optimization of already known processes is necessary to allow their application on a technical scale.
