Myrocin is a new tetracyclic diterpene, which has been isolated from a culture of the fungus Apiospora montagnei, an endophyte of Polysiphonia violacea (Ceramiales) harvested in the North Sea, and is cytotoxic for several cancer cell lines (Klemke et al., 2004).
