The activity of the Krebs cycle enzyme of spcciiaens of abdominal segments and ascending parts of human aorta was investigated and compared with acid hydrolytic enzymes in those of pigs. In general, the activity of the Krebs cycle enzyme is lower in the vascular segment with a lower resistance to atherosclerosis (Zemplenyi et al., 1960). [Pg.555]
