Antidotes against organophosphates

Acetamldo-6 -deoxy-derlvatives of mellbiose have been synthesized from methyl B-melibioside via displacement of a 6 -sulphonate with azide.1,2 3, -Dl- -isopropylidene-6-O-triflyl-D-galacto-pyranose was used in the synthesis of 6-deoxy-6-(pyridlnium aldoxime)-D-galactoses, potential antidotes against organophosphate poisoning (see also Chapter 10, Section 1). 

Phenylcarbonyl- and cyclohexylcarbonyl-substituted bispiridinium oximes known as HGG- and BDB-oximes were developed as experimental antidotes against poisonings with highly toxic organophosphates [23, 32], Analogical studies of recovery of MNT after intoxication with soman have been carried out (Table 5) [13].
